Images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope in 2011 and 2012 revealed two previously unknown moons of Pluto. So far, we have been calling them “P4” and “P5”, but the time has come to give them permanent names. If it were up to you, what would you choose?
By tradition, the names of Pluto’s moons come from Greek and Roman mythology, and are related to the ancient tales about Hades and the Underworld.
Ground Rules: Feel free to come back, but please do not vote more than once per day, just so everybody gets a fair chance to make their opinion known. We will take your votes and suggestions into consideration when we propose the names for P4 and P5 to the International Astronomical Union (IAU). Voting ends at noon EST on Monday, February 25th, 2013.
Go vote and reblog!

I got a couple question regarding this. Under the account you want to link other accounts to, click on “Members” (under “Followers” on the right hand side). Type in the email of the tumblr account in which you would also like to have access to. It will send you an email (make sure to log into your tumblr account that’s connected to that email address), click on the link and you’ll gain access!
I just realized I could link different accounts to this tumblr, soooo I linked my new(ish) account to here, so expect more postings from me!

“The pipeline is being shut off, and that’s not what anyone wants,” said Bill Nye, executive director of the Planetary Society, a nonprofit group founded by Carl Sagan and others who wanted to foster interest in outer space. “We are closer than anyone has ever been to discovering life on another world.”
Just a reminder of the cost of war.
